Hannah Giles, 20, poses as a prostitute in the videos with 25-year-old accomplice James O’Keefe, a conservative activist who appears decked out in a fur-accented pimp costume.
Since the first in a series of videos was posted last week on the Internet, the Census Bureau has severed its ties to ACORN, Senators voted 83-7 to cut off housing grants to the group, the White House has voiced disapproval and ACORN has fired at least some of the employees caught on tape and pledged to do an independent investigation.

Great story.
A couple of well to do white folks get dressed up like the white trash they really are and go looking for (black) victims of a ploy to discredit a (black) group that helps poor and under represented (poor, black, minority) folks. With a story so stupid, they finally found someone to play along with their joke. They didn’t get a “hit” with the first few tries.
You said it all. GOP stratagist (read RW Obama haters) and the daughter of a same RW church person.
With almost total Right Wing Conservative control over mainstream media, we will see a total meltdown of our beloved country due to their greed and prejudice. The country is broke and we are out of work. And this is their answer to solving the problems.

Now that there have been 5 offices of ACORN exposed and quite a number more coming the NY Times and Palm Beach Post finally cover it after days in the “alternative media.” Talk about co-conspirators and collaborators. I don’t get it? Why does this have to be a black/white issue or a liberal/conservative issue? ACORN obviously has some pretty corrupt employees and they need to do an internal investigation in order to prevent these situations from ever happening again.
Listen, every large employer is going to have lazy employees that are trying to cut corners or doing improper things on the job that make the company or organization look bad as a whole, but it doesn’t mean that everyone there is corrupt or that the organization is trying conduct illegal or improper activities. I almost guarantee if somebody put this kind of effort into any major non-profit or corporation, they could uncover illegal activity by certain employees.
I guess the point is why is the “conservative” party jumping on the “liberals’ for ACORN? Let’s move beyond the left and right in things or the race issue and just realize that there is a problem with this organization and that’s it.

I am a dark skinned hispanic who frequently passes as a black man. After the hurricanes hit this area, and FEMA set up tables in John Prince Park to hand out debit cards for every one who supposedly lost wages / food / money, whatever, I remember stading there in line and there were about a dozen black “employees” at the front of the line telling every one what to say in order to scam FEMA out of more money. “Tell dem dis” and “tell dem dat”, multiple ways on what exactly to say in order to lie and increase your payment. Then, when I sat down at the table, the fat black female taking my information repeated the same story, telling me exactly what I needed to “know” in order to get more money. She told me she wasn’t interested in the truth, just wanted me to go along with her fabrication. It’s all just part of the ghetto entitlement mentality that permeates black America.

And not all blacks want a hand-out, Lehman Bros, AIG and Goldman Sachs got the biggest handout ever with the bailout. No one relates the two. There is no difference. It is such a sad state of affairs that all people can do is blame one another instead of coming together with solutions to a problem thats affecting us ALL. When the dollar collapses and this country is taken over, black, white, hispanic, asian, ALL will be screwed. The interview that has started to go public with Charlie Gibson from ABC News not knowing ANYTHING about it was downright embarrassing, but also telling. Journalists have a duty to hold government accountable, no matter what ideology or sense of “the greater good” they might share. Corruption is corruption, no matter who is in charge.

Hmm…I don’t know much about ACORN, but I do think most of this nonsense debate has to do with racism. I quit a baptist church because the pastor and just about everyone else in their thought that Obama was a muslim and the antichrist. Minorities in poor areas need to vote just as much as everyone else in this country and we need to encourage voter registration and grass roots movements. On that note…remember that the conservative ice queen Ann Coulter knowingly violated election laws by registering in the wrong precinct. And can anyone explain to me why we as a country should just let people suffer and die of some disease because they can’t get health insurance. That is not a Christian worldview or a humanitarian effort. We spend billions on defense and needless war and corporate bailouts, but spending that money on healthcare…oh no we can’t do that. I have been wondering how the Palm Beach Post would spin this story to excuse what took place and provide few details. You would never understand what took place in the videos by what they wrote.
What a tragedy. The public is disgusted not just with the government, both Dems and Reps, but with nearly every institution.
The media, this publication included, has lost it’s integrity and is dying. Wall Street cares nothing about anything besides earnings and will lie, cheat and steal to increase them.

P.S. I sincerely believe that this conduct by ACORN could not be so prevalent without its management knowing about it. Since ACORN is only possible because of government funding, it is my position that the government should kill ACORN by immediately cutting of ALL of its funding. I have come to realize that 95% of people that comment on these politically charged stories are way too emotional about the issue to really have a thoughtful discussion about what is really going on and how to solve it.
Some say shut down ACORN and stop funding it. Well Congress did stop funding their HUD but ACORN doesn’t get a lot of money from HUD so it won’t affect them. On top of that, they are conducting an internal investigation with an independant thrid party…just like any other public company would be forced to do in this situation. You also have people screaming that it’s racist to investigate ACORN. Well I don’t buy that and you are not helping your cause if you always fall back on the race card. Be it true or not, you need to rely on facts in order to back your opinion. Here’s a fact…these two individuals that “caught” ACORN employees had attempted this many, many other times but the employees were honest and basically kicked them out. Why are they not showing those videos?
It always comes down to name calling like “right wingnuts” or “socialists” or whatever. Same reason town hall meetings are a bust…nobody listens, they just yell out to try and be shocking and get attention.
If I read a story on a right-wing oriented site like FoxNews, I will read other versions of this story on a left-wing oriented site like huffingtonpost in order to get the perspective of both sides. I will then try to filter through both to finds the fats and form my own opinion. I wish others would try to do the same sometimes…

Hey, I’m a Democrat but if ACORN didn’t respond to these young peoples antics then they would have nothing to worry about. Good for these two, and the nation as a whole, for exposing the unsavory side of an organization that receives public funds, no matter what side of the aisle it’s coming from.
I am not even sure exactly what ACORN does, besides the fact that Glenn Beck constantly rails against them. I think they are blown WAY out of proportion just like 90% of the other stuff FOX News and DittoHeads are constantly complaining about.

What ACORN did was not a crime. ACORN never housed a prostitute. When these two sting artists taped ACORN without their consent THEY were the ones who committed the crime. Now they’ll be hit with a big fat lawsuit and we’ll find out who really funded their little escapade.

If you people —-who keep bashing Haaanh Giles and Glen Beck ect —had any brains you’d realize they are doing you a favor- EXPOSING the TRUTH !!! Somthing that most news outlets these days refuse to do…. They all want to paint a picture of a happy America and claim that now that we have Obama everything Is wonderful.. look around you… what do you see ? since the Democrats took over in Congress and refused to impeach Bush things have gotten worse….Bush is gone now- good riddens ,..but singing Kumbaya nad refusing to look at the radical agenda Obama is trying to force on us is not realistic. He taught those Acorn workers..he was their LAWYER…dont think he isnt aware fo their scams and lies because he has many of his own- currently sealed – but they cannot stay hidden forever.

I’m black and I’m offended by the first comment by Chris Gordon. ACORN wasn’t helping minorities. They were helping themselves… to government funding to line their own pockets. These kids did a good thing and should be recognized for doing so. Corruption should be exposed regardless of which party it comes from.

Great job Hannah…you showed OBAMAS ACCORNS for the slime that they really are…He gave them a ton of money andpromised them a seat in his government…Now he shuts his big mouth whenever ACORN is mentioned. What a fake..as bad as some of those Republican hypocrites like Foley and Lary Craig…. Thank you to FOX for doing some investigative reporting …most of the rest, like MSNBC just keep on chanting for Obama and telling us how crazy we are if we arent in the Obama lovefest…they are sickening..tune them out and CNN too !!!

Good for these two individuals shedding light on such a corrupt organization as Acorn. More needs to be done to get rid of Acorn altogether.
I applaud these two young people taking an interest in helping society, unlike most of us who continue to complain and belittle others and not put action into our words in a useful/productive/positive manner.
So to those of you who continue to rant about people being racist, that excuse is getting a bit old, don’t you think? Or perhaps you don’t think at all… Food for thought.
Truth looks you in the eyes and people tend not to be able to take it, a bit true in this case.
