GOP paints Rooney challenger Craft as liberal for lobbyist event
by George Bennett | September 16th, 2009In a Republican-leaning congressional district that favored John McCain over Barack Obama last year, the National Republican Congressional Committee is using the event to paint Craft as an out-of-touch liberal.
“Chris Craft should be running for the Treasure Coast chapter presidency of MoveOn.org – not Congress….What’s next – a campaign stop in Cuba?” said NRCC spokesman Andy Seré.
The breakfast event is at the home of lobbyist Robert Raben, whose client list “reads like a who’s-who of radically left-wing interest groups,” says the GOP, which highlighted such clients as ACORN, the ACLU and the Marijuanna Policy Project.
Raben’s client list also includes General Electric, Mastercard, Verizon and the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America.

Mr. Craft is a typical politician. I once wrote to him about a problme and I got a response that was about as thoughtful as what a gnat might give. There is no way on this earth that I would ever vote for him for anything…even dog catcher.

i’ll be supporting whomever is NOT the incumbent. those in power have done NOTHING to earn my loyalty. as a middle class wage earner, i’ve been left behind on every major issue. we won’t even discuss the civic abuse working people endure in Palm Beach Co. politics.
a little voter sponsored term limit initiative.
now, how can we voters impliment campaign finance reform for ourselves?
since government does not represent the middle class, we have to create our own fairness.

Since when did tom rooney represent working class americans? I guess being born into wealth precludes any reasonable rational for a leadership position in society. A vote for rooney is a vote for the aristocracy!

vote ‘em all out!!!!
ALL incumbents for all offices
if you’re a middle class wage earner, the incumbent is your enemy!!
there is no way a representative government acting in good faith for the majority could produce the society we have.
vote ‘em out! every last one

Craft is in the same party of Comrade Obama so will I be branded a racist if I say something negative about Craft?
And RayG, do you feel the same way toward the Kennedy’s? You’re a typical thumb-sucking democrat.

June…tis better to suck a thumb than suck a hind tity…as you republicans will be for quite a while.

The only reason why Rooney was ever elected is because of the problems that Tim Mahoney had, that Mark Foley had….I hope this time, with the election of Chris Craft we will get it right this time. People reporting on the 16th District often forget that the Atlantic side of FL District is highly Democratic, especially the county that he represents…and he says and does and is exactly what he seems, says and does. He stands with the people, when you are smart and well-informed and even when you are ignorant and devoid of reality and common sense. He will represent his constituents well, always has always will.
