Palm Beach County Administrator Bob Weisman’s $251,593 contract up for extension Tuesday
by George Bennett | August 31st, 2009
Palm Beach County commissioners are scheduled to vote Tuesday on extending longtime County Administrator Bob Weisman’s contract for another year. His current contract runs through the end of 2013. No change in Weisman’s current $251,593 salary is proposed.
Commissioners tapped Weisman, a former Water Utilities director and assistant county administrator, for the top job at the end of 1991 when former county administrator Jan Winters resigned. Weisman’s pay for 1992 was $105,000.

Bob doesn’t earn enough to wrangle 7 County Commissioners, however, his salary would be more worth it if he was over a County Wide Police Chief instead of an elected Sheriff like we hav now. The Clerk, Tax Collector and Property Appraiser should also be departments and not constitutional officers. Too many individual dynasties and duplication and not enough coordination and efficiency for today’s government!

Get rid of him… You make the Building Services Dept. layoff sooo many employees over the last year and this idiot is up for extension on his contract. Shame on you PBC…. His salary needs to be adjusted down – this another fine example of our commissioners and their mentalities. You cut lower-paid personnel and/or their wages and expect that the citizens are going to be happy to keep paying the higher salaries… what rock did you crawl out from under……
