Florida House leaders endorse Crist’s U.S. Senate campaign
by Michael C. Bender | August 13th, 2009The Charlie Crist for Senate campaign announced endorsements this afternoon from Republican state Reps. Dean Cannon, of Winter Park, Will Weatherford of Wesley Chapel and Chris Dorworth of Lake Mary. The three men are expected to follow one another as House speakers - the position Crist’s GOP primary opponent Marco Rubio once held — through 2016.
“Throughout his long career in public service, Governor Crist has proven with his common-sense conservatism that he understands the challenges facing Florida’s families and small businesses,” Cannon said in a statement. As our next United States Senator, I am confident that Charlie Crist will continue to work tirelessly for the people of Florida.”
Dorworth also said Crist had conservative bonafides:
“Governor Crist has been a true advocate for all Floridians and a steward of conservative values and principles. Charlie Crist is the voice Floridians need in our nation’s capital,” Dorworth said.

I would not vote for Crisp if he was the only person running. If not for him, we would not have had the Radical John McCain as the Republican Candidate for President; Crisp waited until the last minute to throw his support to McCain, thus guaranteeing a Democratic win into the Whitehouse. Crisp is not a conservative, he is as liberal as McCain.

NO WAY!!!!!!!! He made a promise to this state that no firefighters or law enforcement would lose their jobs! What a joke he is. Once again another politician making promises he can’t keep.

Unfortunately for the citizens of Florida one of the most recent things good time Charlies has done to residents is the passage of a bill introduced by a fellow Republican legislator that dumps ALL the impact fees onto the backs of property owners. retirees and small businesses.
Developers pay nothing for the new roads, police, fire, sewer, water, etc that new development demands.
This is not my idea of someone who cares for the citiens of Florida. He cares about his campaign contributors and getting and staying in power.

Florida House Leaders might endorse Governor Crist’s job-hopping to Mel Martinez’s U.S. Senate seat but it looks like the folks in Palm Beach County aren’t so sure. The Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee failed to censure the Governor for his un-Republican behavior but it was a tie vote. 50% of the people in that room do not like the direction the party is going and had the guts to stand up and be counted.
We’re tried everything to tell our elected officials we don’t like what’s happening but they continue on their merry way, using us only when they need us: on election day.
This is one Republican who is really over that. In this race I’m ABC … Anybody But Crist.

Contrary to what a lot of Republicans may think, Crist isn’t much of a “closet Democrat”. I’m a Democrat, and I wouldn’t vote for him either. He’s signed legislation making it harder to fire bad police officers, didn’t come through on his property tax claims (”They’ll drop like a rock!” Mine went up), hasn’t done enough to try to fix the insurance situation, and seems to be most interested in what is best for Charlie. I have to say, though, that I consider him a vast improvement over the accursed JEB! that we were saddled with for years.

Charlie Crist CAUSED the insurance problems we will face in the next few years when he created Citizens Insurance, forcing everyone in the state to pay for destruction due to natural disasters, like, say hurricanes whether they are insured or not by private insurance.
A couple of storms like Charley will bankrupt Citizens at warp speed. We are all going to suffer for this.

Nothing but nothing surprises me about
the back-slapping, good ole boys club
here in Florida. When they need us-they
put on their phony smiles and pretend to
care about us-Choo Choo Charlie is one
of the highest on the phony list. I will
say that he is consistent though, making
promises he has no intention of keeping.
I say that the public should wise up and
look carefully at the politicans who support him-then don’t vote these idiots
in. Choo Choo Charlie has always been in
it for himself and heaven help us when he is elected as a Senator. You can only
look to see what a disaster Mel Martinez
was-not finishing his term. Choo Choo follows in his footsteps. How long till he leaves the Senate for top job?I figure not to long. This is his stepping
stone to the Presidency-just watch and
see. I hope all who vote for him get
buyers remorse and learn what a creep he
really is.
