Mrs. Sanford seeking refuge in Hobe Sound

The wife of philandering South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is staying at the home her parents own in a gated community here, said a woman who answered the phone Wednesday.
The woman, who would not identify herself, said Jenny Sanford was staying in the home in Loblolly Bay but was not available. She took a message. Sanford did not return the call.
Security guards at Loblolly Bay said Sanford’s parents live in the community. When asked if Jenny Sanford had gone through the gates, they refused to comment. Several reporters kept vigil outside the gates.
Sanford, who has four young sons, has a brother, Bolton Sullivan, living in Jonathan’s Landing in Jupiter. Sullivan could not be reached for comment.

i dont care who he the govenor slept with. if he was a democrat, the affair would be a resume enhancement…he should stay on the job and the republicans should support him the same thing the democrat party would do to one of their own… some body please show me the politician who is a saint !!

From a true conservative, leave her alone, not him.
Democrats never put themselves forward as a family values deal, and not all Republicans do. Those that paint themselves as conservative Republicans live and die on this line. In this case, Sanford talked a good conservative line but was living a different life. He deserves what he gets.

At least Republican Mark Foley was man enought to resign after his sex-scandal. It’s too bad his Republican counterparts refuse to do so.
I think it’s pretty clear that the “double standard” rests with the Republican party.
I’m reminded of Republican Henry Hyde who referred to his own extramarital affairs at age 41 as “youthful indiscressions”
Meanwhile, The “family values” preachers like James Dobson and the Family Research Council continue to wink an eye and look the other way whenever one of their own is caught with his pants down.
