Attorney Rothstein – who’s raised money for the likes of Charlie Crist, John McCain and George W. Bush – is backing state Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, in the Senate District 25 race.
Legendarily dapper bad boy and unabashed Nixon admirer Stone, a partner with Rothstein in a Fort Lauderdale-based consulting biz, is behind Delray Beach businessman Nick Loeb.
Stone said he’s friends with Bogdanoff but has an “antecedent” relationship with Loeb’s family, going back to the days when he and Loeb’s father were early Ronald Reagan supporters. Though he’s known as a creative hitman, Stone says that, in this race, “I’m not here to engage in negative politics.”
Bogdanoff, Loeb and state Rep. Carl Domino, R-Jupiter, are in the GOP primary to replace Atwater, who’s running for chief financial officer

Let’s see, Domino writes as big a check as he needs but doesn’t do a damned thing to work the streets in his campaign…Loeb, who the heck is he? No one in Tallahassee knows him; and Roger Stone isn’t a name here, to speak of…. Ellyn Bogdanoff, is well known as a player in Tallahassee and as a hard campaigner in her district.
Given the demographics of the district, unless a well known D jumps into the race, it’s going to Bogdanoff in the general election.

Nick needs to jump back into the house race real soon. His window is closing fast.

Nick Loeb is NOT a business man. Can we STOP referring to him as one. He has a large trust fund and has no idea what to do with his time.

Nick Loeb is rich kid with a trust fund…..Okay??? Florida is full of rich people, and many of them have investments held in a trust. Look at the whole picture first. Nick’s financial position provides assurance that he will serve the people of Florida, not his own wallet. Nick has no incentive to compensate the interests of Florida for the corrupt monetary opportunities found in Washington politics. If anything, his strong family history and young conservative ideals will serve as strong assets. Snap back into reality, “Change” has happened. It is time to recognize that the GOP must adapt to the current world. Nick is young, smart and dedicated to serving Florida. He is friendly, and easily liked by everyone he meets. Nick has the credentials, the charisma, and the time to work hard for Florida. Therefore, get with the program, and stop bashing a great opportunity for GOP adaptation.
