Rep. Klein should know that the Massachusetts model of health reform, which is being touted on the Hill, seems to be failing in its 3rd year, like all similar state attempts to cover all using a mixture of existing private insurance and subsidies for the uninsured. See the WSJ blog today for info on this. Single Payer, the predominant successful model for national health insurance the world over, which is revenue neutral and allows free choice of physician and hospital, is the only proposal which would be affordable and sustainable, and cover all of us.
