Rubio launches U.S. Senate bid
by George Bennett | May 5th, 2009Former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio, R-Miami, announced this morning he’s running for the U.S. Senate seat of retiring Republican Sen. Mel Martinez. Gov. Charlie Crist is widely expected to seek the GOP nomination and, if he does, will be a heavy favorite.
“I’m under no illusions about how difficult this will be,” Rubio says in a video on his Web site. “I know that there are people more famous than I who may enter this race….”

My own opinion is that this candidate is the future of this country, not RINO Charlie Crist.
I’m tired of representatives who spend too much, who believe that growing government is the answer, and who won’t listen to the people.
I’m going with the conservative, Marco Rubio.
