County GOP boss predicts Crist won’t run for Senate
by George Bennett | May 8th, 2009
Not Palm Beach County GOP Chairman Sid Dinerstein.
Dinerstein said he doesn’t have any inside info, but believes “the political environment has changed considerably” since Crist raised the possibility a few months ago that he might run in 2010 for the seat of retiring Republican U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez.
“The Republican Party nationally — but somewhat the Democrats and independents, too — are all somewhat anti-Washington now and the governor has positioned himself as a pro-Washington Republican,” Dinerstein says.
Crist earlier this year angered many Republicans when he embraced the $800 billion federal stimulus plan of President Obama and congressional Demorats.

I was always not fond of Jeb Bush, and
had favored Charlie Crist. However, I have become very disallusioned by Crist
and he will certaintly not get my vote
again should he want to retain the governors seat. Jeb might have been like
a bull dog, but atleast he fought for what he believes in. Christ,on the other
hand tries to be Mr.GoodyTooShoes and kissing up to the Obama administration and Democratic Congress is a big negative in my book. I feel that he doesn’t follow through on his promises.
Try working less on his tan and work
more for the people of Florida would go
a long way.

Will Crist Allow the Florida State Legislature Declare Class Warfare on State Workers? Where are the stimulus funds going?
The State of Florida bears the dubious distinction of having the lowest paid State Workers in the Nation. These are the people who provide Public Service in the State of Florida. These include Health, Safety and Environment Services. http://www.myflorida.com/directory/
But as the Nation struggles to stabilize and stimulate the economy, these workers have become the objects of pay cuts by the Florida State Legislature in the budget they are now approving for the State.

Paycuts being no surprise to anyone these days, these cuts will apply to state workers starting at salaries of $45,000 and will mostly direct affect middle class working families, with secondary effects on the population most in need of service.
How can this be happening when the State of Florida has an estimated $4.7 Billion is Federal Stimulus money estimated for just this year?

We think this is the wrong place to cut the budget. We are asking Governor Charlie Crist to stop this class warfare with a Line Item Veto of the pay cut for Florida State Workers.

Let him know the State of Florida needs the services of its State Workers for the People of Florida!

Here is one Democrat that will be voting for Charlie no matter what post he runs for. He has a heart – something most Gop’ers don’t have.
