Wexler blasts e-mails disputing Obama’s support for Israel
by llipman@coxnews.com | February 16th, 2008Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign Friday denounced an e-mail circulating around the country that claims his advisers are “Israel haters” as a “smear” and “outrageous.”
U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Delray Beach, an early, ardent supporter of Obama’s presidential campaign and one of the staunchest Israel supporters in Congress, said of the e-mail: “It’s not true.”
Wexler said he and former Ambassador Dennis Ross, who advised both President George H.W. Bush and President Clinton on the Middle East, are Obama’s principal advisers on Israel policy.
“I think it’s fair to say that no one in Congress is more dedicated to Israel’s security than I am, and that’s why Sen. Obama includes me at this level,” Wexler said.
Wexler noted that there have been a series of e-mails designed to harm Obama in the Jewish community, which is playing an important role in the contest between the Illinois senator and Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York.
Wexler said that Obama’s opponents, unable to find fault with the senator’s positions on Israel, have manufactured criticisms based on people who may, or may not, be associated with him.

Mr. Obama is not a friend of Israel.
1) Did not support Ky-Lieberman or Webb Amendment
2) Pastor…need I say more,
3) If he is the best friend in the Senate for Israel…we have no friends
4)The paper trail is as only as good as the vote on it., Mr. Wexler maybe you should push for your constituents instead of your job promotion
5) Look at Clinton, McCain and “your friend’s” record. Senator Clinton is the best of the three on this issue.
6) Mr. Wexler if everyone listens to you,why is Congress worse off in their ratings than the president?
7) Wexler…you too voted for the war and have no solution. Senator Clinton is the only one who has a plan.
Finally WE THE VOTERS ARE NOT AS DUMB AS YOU THINK!

Sen Clinton is more in touch with Israel Than that half muslem candidate Obama.Wake up people!!Obama,s step dad was a radical muslem,who hates Israel,DUH.How could Wexler,being a Jew endorse Obama?It would be like Alcee Hastings endorsing David Duke for pres.What an idiot.
