Hasner chides county GOP chairman
by George Bennett | April 13th, 2007State Rep. Adam Hasner, R-Delray Beach, a member of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain’s Florida campaign team, says it was “totally inappropriate” for Palm Beach County GOP Chairman Sid Dinerstein to call McCain “yesterday’s candidate” in a New York Observer article this week.
Dinerstein, officially neutral in the race, dissed McCain and Mitt Romney and gushed over Rudy Giuliani in the article. He told Q Thursday he was merely offering observations on how the candidates were faring with voters and “I wish I had said it a little better.”
Hasner, in an e-mail, invoked the ultimate Republican icon in response:
“I would remind him of Reagan’s 11th commandment to not speak ill of other Republicans because one of these men will be our nominee. I think as our county chairman he should focus his efforts on building our local party, not criticizing the other Republican candidates for president — Senator McCain or Governor Romney.

How Hasner pulled off his reelection in ’06 after voting to keep Schiavo on machines and to ban Stem Cell research is beyond me. People in this district seem to have no clue who/what they vote for these days.

When today’s headlines read: “Car bomb kills 37 near one of Baghdad’s holiest shrines”, what does that mean exactly? Some shrines are holy, and others…not so much? Or does it refer to the actual holes left in them from previous bullets and bombs?

Sid was right. Rudy will be the next President of the United States.
